Episode 20: 1987

Our 20th episode! We look at the Best Picture nominations of 1987 and we are really excited to talk about them:

• The Last Emperor
• Broadcast News
• Fatal Attraction
• Hope and Glory
• Moonstruck

Plus a few other categories we felt needed to be added to the Oscar list like Comedy Gold, The Independent Darling, and Who Did It Best!

This week we dive deep into comedies and why they should be nominated more by the academy, and why Raising Arizona wasn't! But for every Raising Arizona, there is an Ishtar. There's also a bunch of Vietnam War movies, the Devil is in New Orleans causing trouble, greed is good, and Arnold Schwarzenegger brings a minigun to a fight with an alien, because that's the Chicago way!! Bonus points if you can name all the movies from 1987 that I referenced in that last sentence.
